Hello from Guilford Township Trustees and Zoning Commission! We are in the process of reviewing the Comprehensive Development Plan and would appreciate a few minutes of your time to share some of your thoughts about the community.
What is the Comprehensive Development Plan? The Comprehensive Development Plan (the ‘Plan’) provides criteria for making changes to the Township Zoning Resolution and Zoning Map. It serves as a point of reference in decision making concerning the land use and zoning issues. The Plan is essentially the ‘big picture’ of what type of development will be allowed in the future. It was last updated in 2010.
What are the current goals of the Plan? In 2010 the Zoning Commission determined that they had three very basic goals. They were:
Preserve the rural and agricultural environments of the township.
Maintain a level of community facilities and services adequate to meet the needs of the population.
Guide the location and timing of new developments based on natural capabilities and limitations of the land.
What can you do to help? Simply follow the link below to complete the survey! This is your chance to share your thoughts about Guilford Township and its future development!
