In 2025, the Comprehensive Development Plan was thoroughly reviewed and updated to reflect current conditions, challenges, and opportunities in Guilford Township. This update builds upon the previous plan by incorporating new data, community feedback, and evolving development trends. Particular focus was given to:
  • Preserving farmland and open space
  • Encouraging reinvestment in existing housing stock
  • Supporting improved property maintenance and enforcement tools
The update process included public meetings, community input, and collaboration with township officials to ensure the plan reflects the values and priorities of Guilford Township residents. The result is a forward-looking document that not only honors the township’s heritage but also provides a practical, flexible guide for shaping its future.
