The Seville-Guilford Fire Department proudly serves the residents and businesses of Seville Village, Guilford Township, and surrounding areas.
We are a full time department providing 24/7 coverage by highly trained and qualified personnel. Along with fighting fires and running EMS calls, our crews spend the day training, doing station chores and required duties, conducting fire inspections, working on community outreach and training, and many other obligations. Seville-Guilford Fire Department: Meeting the Needs of a Growing Community: Our department’s call volume has seen a steady increase as our business and residential areas continue to grow and expand. With this expansion, the necessity for a more robust full-time staffing model became clear. Evolution of Our Staffing While the department has historically employed a full-time Fire Chief, the Guilford Township Trustees recognized a pivotal shift in 2020. To ensure consistent 24/7 coverage and immediate emergency response, the department added six full-time Firefighter/Paramedics/EMTs to our ranks. Our current operational success relies on a hybrid model, combining our dedicated full-time staff with a vital team of 15-20 part-time professionals. These individuals provide the essential additional staffing hours required to maintain the high level of service our community expects. We work diligently to provide the comprehensive educational resources and rigorous hands-on training necessary to ensure that whenever a call is placed, it is answered by a team of highly professional, qualified, and prepared individuals. FIRE CHIEF - KEITH GEIGERChief Geiger was appointed by the Guilford Township Board of Trustees and began serving January 1, 2026. He brings nearly three decades of experience in the fire service, including a career as a full-time Fire Captain with the City of Green Division of Fire and also a 26 year career with the Village of Reminderville as a part-time Firefighter. He also works as an instructor with the Ohio Fire Academy.
