Welcome to Guilford Township!

​Guilford Township is one of eighteen townships in Medina County, Ohio.  According to the 2000 census, the population of the township was 5,447.  

Guilford Township is approximately 5 miles by 5 miles, or 16,073 acres. 

​Guilford Township is home for Hubbard Valley and River Styx parks which are part of the Medina County Park district.

​For zoning purposes, township land use can be divided into four distinct districts: Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Agricultural.

​Commercial and Industrial: lots constitute 5.33%, or about 786 acres.  

Residential: lots are approximately 26% of the total area.  

Agricultural: lots of 30 acres or more, including woodlands and wetlands, are considered to be agricultural in nature.  Agriculture makes up 68.65% of the total area.
