Guilford Township, located in Medina County, Ohio, is one of eighteen townships within the county.
Spanning approximately 25 square miles (16,073 acres), it is a vibrant community with a mix of rural charm and modern amenities. As of the latest census, the township continues to grow beyond its recorded population of 5,447 in 2000.
Guilford Township is also home to Hubbard Valley Park  and River Styx Park, both part of the Medina County Park  District. These scenic parks offer a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, fishing, and picnicking, making them popular destinations for residents and visitors alike.

​For zoning purposes, Guilford Township is divided into four distinct land use districts: Residential, Commercial, Industrial, and Agricultural.

• Commercial & Industrial: These districts make up 5.33% of the township, covering approximately 786 acres.
• Residential: Residential lots account for 26% of the township’s total land area.
• Agricultural: Land parcels of 30 acres or more, including woodlands and wetlands, are classified as agricultural. This district represents the largest portion of the township, covering 68.65% of the total area.
